Doctor Eric Datu Agustin holds a PhD from the University of the Philippines (Quezon City). The title of his dissertation was “Students’ Personal Moral Beliefs and Ways of Resolving Moral Problems.” During his time as a doctoral student, he was honored with several accolades and positions, including Presidential Scholar, Dissertation Grantee, Outstanding Doctoral Student, University Scholar, and Full-Time Faculty.
Doctor Agustin has a range of research interests, including philosophy of ethics, values/moral education, work ethics, and topics related to the history and philosophy of education. As an active researcher, he has published and presented his work in various international and national journals and conferences. He has also served as a reviewer for journal articles published in international publications indexed by Scopus (Elsevier/ScienceDirect), Web of Science, Taylor & Francis Group, and SAGE Publishing, among others.
Doctor Agustin is a former university professor whose teachings and methods may have shaped the thoughts and beliefs of his students. He is currently a Master Teacher at a public school, where he teaches courses in philosophy and research. He has previously taught various pre-service education courses at the tertiary level, as well as subjects in secondary and elementary levels of basic education. Throughout his teaching career, his students have consistently praised him and he has been recognized as an outstanding demonstration and classroom teacher in the field of basic education.
Doctor Agustin’s diverse roles and experiences demonstrate ambition and drive for success. He has served as a research panel judge, practice teaching supervisor, and class adviser, showcasing his desire for positions of power and responsibility. His work as a board exam lecturer, research adviser, conference speaker, anti-plagiarism expert, ISO9001 project staff, and edtech enthusiast shows his willingness to embrace new challenges and constantly improve. These experiences illustrate his commitment to excellence and pushing himself to his limits.
Doctor Agustin has dedicated his career to teaching and research, and has maintained a strong passion and curiosity in many areas of life.
