My Second (2nd) Month as a Newborn Baby... This month of January 5, 2022 until prior to my 3rd month, as expected, my father was keen to remind himself about human life stages and what are the things that, for example, a baby or an infant is capable of or has to accomplish/achieve.
My parents posted printed educational materials near my crib and areas where I stay, glance and savor each moment when I am in my attentive/focused moods. They planned, too, on buying online other colorful and embossed educational items for me to view. However, given the sudden surge of the COVID Omicron variant, they simply postponed it at a later date and stuck to our family's very own printed materials or used the portable projector that they purchased when they visited Shanghai, China.
My father purchased additional baby items for me, such as, car seat, stroller, etc.
From time-to-time, my parents do online groceries and shopping because of the Pandemic. My father picks up at our Condo's Main Lobby the delivered parcels and goods and then disinfects the said items immediately before organizing them inside our pantry, ref, shelves, etc.
To conveniently monitor my progress as a baby, my parents have downloaded an app so that every day they know what was my present growth and later development. At 1 month and 15 days, my tactile abilities are enhanced even more as I touch the textures of various objects. Even at birth, I have a "hairy," dark-colored head that's why my parents did not intend to have it shaved as some parents do. The latter parents believe that a shaved baby head will have more grown hairs afterwards.
Other activities that I do include tummy time, as well as, sleep for 4 to 6 hours straight and then drink even more and more milk when awake resulting to my 10-cm growth spurt and increase in my head circumference. My father observed that my parieto-occipital lobes have even more protrusion even at birth. The former lobe being vital for sensory perception, integration, and interpretation; whereas, the latter, visuospatial processes, memory formation, and facial recognition. When my parents smile at and talk to me, they noticed how I smiled back at them as if conversing and conveying more meanings, especially when I have a rich blend of invigorating baby talks. I can also raise my hands and play with objects given to me. Likewise, when I lift my head, my parents are always alert caring or assisting me to do it safely. Later on, I can control my head movements. There are other things that I do that can simply prevent me from having baby cries (that is, as long as I am full and comfy), such as when my father lulls me or we make a short trip around our condo unit. We can't simply go outside or visit our relatives because of the COVID Pandemic. === It's the Hebrew language month for me in which I was exposed to as I listened to music and Podcasts, as well as, watched videos in a variety of genre and categories. (Arabic, Chinese, French, Greek, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Russian...).
